September 2022 saw the launch of
WALK lightly Otautahi!
Showcasing collections from local emerging designers, garment weavers and vintage collators.

The looks were completed by prominent hair salon GM and professional make-up applicants, beauty products kindly sponsored by NZ and Aus ethical brands; Ethique, Au Natural and Aleph <3
The runway was lit-up by the freshest faces in Otautahi, Portfolio modeling agency.
In the dazzling setting of the Tannery boutique mall, the stage was prepped by AC lighting and TES sound. Local DJ Craigslist provided a good-time atmosphere, filmed by Jerry Westaway, drinks catered by a pop-up bar in the atrium and complimentary bubbles on arrival.
The event was followed by a 100% non-profit pop-up shop in the Guthrey Centre organised by WALK lightly. All sales went directly to the designers. Shop doors were open in the city centre for 2 weeks! Giving the designers a chance to meet their market and offer catwalk garments directly for sale.
